SCHEDULE DESCRIPTIONS
You will enjoy of a memorable journey on the northern part of Lake Titicaca landscapes which will change every 30 minutes and this will blow your mind.
We start our adventure at 8:00 am then continue to Lampa which is known as the Pink city, because of the houses colors, the driving will take 1:20 hours arriving around 9:30 am, where we will visit a declared national monument building dating from 1675 Santiago Apostle church where are also located the famous catacombs and replica sculpture of the Pietà by Michelangelo continuing with the adventures will take a dirt road to get Tarukani, not many people know that in the region of Puno we have the biggest area of Puya (century flower) after 30 minutes in this place we will continue to Tinajani 1:30 hours, the valley of rocks after a nice walking for one hour will return to Puno.
TARUKANI
This place is located at 4050 over sea level, it’s a place where we appreciate more than 150 Puyas Bromeliaceae and all of them in adult age surrounding by Ichu straw,This kind of Puya or Titanca is considered as the biggest in the world and it has a endemic Characteristic of the Andes, they can get 3 to 4 meters high and after years they can bloom more than 6000 flowers at the same time during this period they grow between 8 to 12 meters high, and the after 100 years the Puya leaves more than 6000000 of seeds.
TINAJANI THE CANYON
Tinajani is located 12 km far from Ayaviri is a beautiful group of roks which have peculiar sizes and shape according to the local people Tinajani means large clay vessel, a place where the devil goes to take a bath and this happens everybody hears a strange noise.
